SUFFOLK CENTER FOR CULTURAL ARTS EMPTY BOWLS EVENT
Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts:
Save the Date: Empty Bowls | Friday, August 22 | 6PM | Join us for a heartfelt evening where art meets action, and every bowl tells a story.
Empty Bowls is a global movement that raises funds for food banks and soup kitchens through community-based art events. The Suffolk Center is proud to join this effort to support The Suffolk Christian Fellowship Food Bank, a vital resource serving over 500 food-insecure households each month right here in our community.
Here’s how it works: • Local artists donate hand-crafted bowls • Guests select a bowl and enjoy a soup tasting from Arts Kitchen • Everyone takes home a one-of-a-kind bowl. A reminder of the empty bowls we help to fill.
Tickets include your handcrafted bowl and soup tasting. All proceeds go directly to The Suffolk Christian Fellowship Food Bank to fight food insecurity in Suffolk.

We are sincerely grateful to Suffolk Economic Development for generously sponsoring this important event and helping us give back to those who need it most.
Mark your calendars! This is one event where every seat makes a difference.

Program Alert!
Our program, The Cross Nutrition Connection, is well underway! We have partnered with Arts Kitchen, The Blocker Foundation, and Obici Healthcare Foundation to provide nutritious and health-friendly frozen meals to our participants challenged with diverse health conditions. These registered participants will be able to receive one frozen meal per week at no cost to them!
We bless God for this partnership and the impact it will have as we nourish our communities!
We have expanded our reach to the North Suffolk area to bridge the nutrition gap; creating greater access to food goods for working families!
Suffolk Christian Fellowship Center launched our off-site 2nd Shift Program in partnership with Sentara BelleHarbour on April 2, 2024. As an extension of our home-site, this 2nd Shift Program will be held every 1st Tuesday from 5:30-7:00p.
(Please note that these distributions will run simultaneously. We are not replacing our existing distribution with the North Suffolk distribution.)
We celebrate our being featured in two Suffolk News-Herald articles this week. Click the buttons below to see what’s happening!
